Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II in Manahawkin on schedule for November completion

Construction is on schedule for Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II, an income-restricted apartment community in Manahawkin slated for completion in November, according to Barnegat-based developer Walters.

The initial housing lottery for the new apartment community at 200 Back Road closed this month, with interest reflecting sustained affordable housing demand within the local market. The development will offer 34 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in two buildings. The first building is expected to be completed by mid-September 2024, with the second to follow.

“Creating high-quality affordable housing that meets the needs of residents is a real positive for this beautiful community of Manahawkin,” Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters, said.

In addition to managing the property, Walters will be providing on-site supportive services for residents to take advantage of year-round resources such as after-school programs, special interest clubs, career readiness, a food pantry program, eviction prevention and social services assistance.

Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II will feature a wealth of amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, a children’s tot lot, a basketball court and a community clubhouse with computer workstations. Apartments are equipped with in-unit washers/dryers.

The community is located in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township, just off Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway. Residents enjoy proximity to local shopping areas, dining and entertainment. With Long Beach Island just 10 minutes away, residents will have easy access to local beaches and many other recreational facilities.
