Sometimes, it takes a while to settle in.
Consider Maryland-based engineering firm Hillis-Carnes.
After providing consulting engineering services within the New Jersey area for over 18 years, the mid-Atlantic firm announced last week that it has established a local office in South Plainfield to be more accessible to its public- and private-sector clients and projects in this area.
Jason Joines, who recently joined the firm, will lead the office as the Northeast regional manager. Joines brings more than 25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and inspections, facilities engineering services and environmental consulting services.
Hillis-Carnes’ recent New Jersey projects of note include:
- HRP Hudson Logistics Park (four warehouses on 72 acres);
- South Kearny industrial warehouse development (153,180-square-foot warehouse on 170 acres);
- Camden’s Cramer Hill industrial warehouse/office building (304,119 square feet).
Established in 1989, Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is an employee-owned, multidisciplined consulting engineering firm based in the mid-Atlantic region, with more than 450 employees based in offices in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
