Hartz Mountain retains JLL to market biggest new industrial hub in Meadowlands

Hartz Mountain Industries has retained JLL as the exclusive leasing agent for Teterboro Logistics Center, a brand new, 515,421-square-foot industrial facility at 1 Malcolm Ave. in Teterboro.

Located at the heart of the largest and most concentrated consumer corridor in the U.S., Teterboro Logistics Center is the only existing availability in the Meadowlands submarket over 500,000 square feet. The state-of-the-art, cross-docked facility is located just off Route 17, offering direct access to the 1nterstate 95 corridor between Washington, D.C., and Boston and approximately 50 million residents.

“Teterboro Logistics Center presents a premier opportunity for supply chain excellence, and we are pleased to partner with JLL to introduce this state-of-the-art facility to the market,” Gus Milano, Hartz Mountain Industries president and chief operating officer, said.

The property features 40 ft. clear ceilings, 83 dock doors — including four drive-ins — 94 trailer stalls and 331 car parking spaces. With 8 inches of concrete slab flooring suitable for high volume heavy loads, the property offers full building occupancy, and is divisible to as small as 97,000 square feet.

The facility is being marketed by a JLL team that includes Vice Chairmen David Knee and Leslie Lanne, Executive Managing Director Christopher Hile, Senior Managing Directors Gary Politi and Seth Geldzahler, and Executive Vice Presidents Ignatius Armenia and Doug Rosenstein.

“As the only existing availability in the Meadowlands over 500,000 square feet, we anticipate strong demand for Teterboro Logistics Center,” Knee said. “Its unrivalled accessibility makes the Meadowlands among the most sought-after logistics locations in the country. Coupled with its modern and flexible design, Teterboro Logistics Center is one of the very best last-mile solutions in the market right now.”

Hartz Mountain Industries assembled the Teterboro site as part of its continued focus on industrial assets in the Northeast, where a skilled labor pool and expansive consumer base appeals to both regional and national distributors seeking quick, convenient, safe fulfilment of orders, meeting the growing demand for ever-faster local deliveries.

Teterboro Logistics Center is minutes from Routes 3 and 46, Interstate 80 and the New Jersey Turnpike (Interstate 95). Its strategic location effortlessly connects to key transportation hubs including the Port of Newark and Newark Liberty International Airport. The property is available for immediate occupancy.
