Jordan Solop has been named chief operating officer for Clara Maass Medical Center, effective immediately, the company announced this week.
The RWJBarnabas Health facility based in Belleville will task Solop with operational leadership, direction and vision to specific areas of Clara Maass with systemwide strategic initiatives.
RWJBarnabas officials have high hopes that Solop’s track record of success will translate for Clara Maass. Among these roles, Solop most recently served as vice president, hospital operations, clinical services, at NYU’s Langone Hospital in Brooklyn. Prior to his role at NYU Langone, Solop was director of business development at CarePoint Health in Jersey City and administrator for medical operations at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida.
Clara Maass Medical Center CEO Mary Ellen Clyne furthered this sentiment.
“Clara Maass Medical Center is committed to providing exceptional patient care close to home,” she said. “I look forward to Jordan’s knowledge and leadership in advancing the operational excellence for patients to receive care in our community.”
Solop holds an MBA in international business from University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt.
