Bay 151, the luxury rental community that helped make the Bayonne waterfront a residential destination, has leased more than 80% of the residences in its third and final phase, developer KRE Group announced Thursday.
The leasing mark is a significant milestone not only for the 212-unit third phase, but for the Bay 151 project as a whole, which was first conceived of more than a decade ago and began leasing its first phase in 2019.
KRE Group is reaching the stretch run of an incredible project that has helped transform a former military base into a bona fide Gold Coast neighborhood near shopping, dining, supermarkets and mass-transit connections, as well as open spaces with sweeping views of New York Harbor.
Studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences are currently available to lease at Bay 151. Special leasing incentives are being offered for a limited time. Immediate occupancy is available.
“The Bayonne waterfront continues to be a popular choice for Hudson County renters, and we are proud that Bay 151 is an integral part of the lifestyle package that it offers,” Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group, said. “Our final phase builds on the luxury experience that has made the community so successful and takes it to the next level, with high-end residences and amenities that are clearly resonating with renters.”
The announcement comes at the same time that Bay 151 is virtually doubling its outdoor amenity space, with the opening of a second resort-style pool and sundeck. The pool opened on Memorial Day weekend, joining new amenities such as barbecue grills, outdoor seating and dining areas, a state-of-the-art fitness center, coworking spaces, a party room and a golf simulator that opened with the third phase.
The final phase of Bay 151 is an attractive, four-story residential building designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners. Its residences are stylish and sophisticated, featuring spacious layouts, plenty of natural light, brand-new appliances and modern kitchens. It is a part of a Bay 151 property that now offers 625 upscale apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space on a 16-acre property. The new phase is located at 225 Chosin Few Way.
Bay 151 provides residents with easy transit access via a resident shuttle and walkable access to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 45th Street, which connects to Jersey City and the PATH system to Manhattan. The community is just a short drive from the entrance of the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 78 and the Holland Tunnel. Notable retail conveniences nearby include Costco, Starbucks, Lidl grocery store, CVS and LA Fitness, while a section of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway that overlooks an inlet of New York Harbor meanders around the peninsula. Stephen Gregg Park is about five blocks from Bay 151, offering pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, track & field, walking trails, children’s play areas, a dog run and a waterfront promenade with sunset views, across nearly 100 acres of parkland. Fun nearby attractions include Hudson Lanes, a 60-lane bowling alley with free parking, arcade games and a full-service bar and grill.
