Italian bakery and café Filoncino Café has opened at the Rail at Red Bank, a 57-unit, mixed-use community located adjacent to the Red Bank train station, according to a Monday announcement from developer Denholtz Properties.
Filoncino is based in Staten Island and boasts an extensive menu featuring over 120 sandwich options, a variety of fresh baked goods, desserts and Italian specialty items. Its 2,500-square-foot Red Bank location is the second store, offering an exciting destination for the Rail at Red Bank’s residents and the surrounding West Side community.
Filoncino joins a growing roster of tenants at the Rail at Red Bank, including its first retail tenant, Melonhead, a juice, smoothie and açai bowl shop. Earlier this year, Todd Goldstein, an award-winning cosmetic dentist, opened his practice, the Smile Aesthetic. The final tenant, Hydraderm Spa, offering a variety of facials, will open in the summer. With the opening of Hydraderm Spa, the retail space at the Rail at Red Bank will be 100% occupied.

Filoncino’s opening marks the latest chapter in Denholtz Properties’ transformative vision for Red Bank’s West Side neighborhood. Recognizing the significant potential of the area, the company has invested heavily in the local community with the construction of the Rail at Red Bank and the renovation of a 29,404-square-foot office building located next door. Beyond its real estate investments, the firm is also a dedicated supporter of area nonprofits including Lunch Break, a Red Bank organization providing food, clothing and other services to those in need, the Two River Theater and the Count Basie Center for the Arts.
