Hamilton-based Infiniti Energy has been acquired by Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions of Connecticut. Together, the combined teams plan to create a bigger impact on the energy transition, continue to grow with its customers and offer unparalleled expertise to help those customers meet their unique energy needs and sustainability goals.
Infiniti Energy brings 12 megawatts of contracted operating solar assets and 22 MW of construction-ready projects, and a further pipeline in development.
Aggreko is a large, multinational business, with over 6,000 employees and a fleet exceeding 10 gigawatts of energy assets.
With the acquisition, Aggreko expands its solar photovoltaic-distributed generation capabilities and assets, adding 12 MW of contracted operational capacity and 22 MW of construction-ready PV projects. At the same time, the company increases its presence in several markets on the East Coast and its capabilities to secure power purchase agreements.
The companies did not disclose the value of the transaction.
“I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated team and express our excitement for the growth opportunities this transaction presents for our clients. We deeply appreciate the trust our clients and vendors have placed in us over the years, and we look forward to continuing to serve them with enhanced resources and expertise,” Michael Kushner, CEO of Infiniti Energy and newly appointed general manager of Aggreko ETS’ commercial and industrial business, said.
