Ware Malcomb completes construction on Budd Lake self-storage development

Newark-based Ware Malcomb recently announced that construction is complete on a new four-building self-storage development at 89 Route 46 in Budd Lake.

Ware Malcomb provided architectural design services for the 95,200-square-foot project, owned by Quinlan Development Group LLC, a New York City-based real estate investment and development company.

“The Budd Lake project represents a Class A self-storage facility originally designed as a speculative development,” said Jon Anderson, regional director at Ware Malcomb. “Our team designed a facility to yield the highest possible number of rentable units.”

The 761-unit project is 78% efficient, setting a high benchmark for self-storage developments. The unit mix represents a range of sizes and offers many climate-controlled space options. The project can accommodate a variety of customer needs among the four buildings, with one building incorporating an interior loading dock, allowing box trucks to load/unload directly. Other features of the project include direct unit lighting and hydraulic elevators in locations throughout.

General contracting services for the project were provided by Gerard Construction.
