Gensler’s Morristown office said Monday that Erin Mahoney has been appointed principal.
Mahoney, who served as technical director, specializes in refining architectural processes and mitigating risk, which translates into establishing best practices and value for clients across the firm.
Having been with the firm since 2006, Mahoney brings more than 25 years of experience in a range of industries, including headquarters, building repositioning, media, tech and law firm workplaces. Her expertise includes optimization of the design and delivery process for building repositioning projects to create spaces that are flexible, efficient and attractive to prospective tenants, a critical issue in today’s post-pandemic commercial real estate market.

Mahoney’s leadership was essential to the Gateway repositioning project, which transformed a dated office complex into a large mixed-use destination in Newark. Her involvement in the design of award-winning pharmaceutical headquarters including Organon in Jersey City and Bristol Myers Squibb in Lawrenceville showcases her exactitude and streamlined approach to large and complex project
A registered architect in the state of New Jersey, Mahoney is also a LEED-accredited professional and is certified in Construction Documents Technology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design in architecture from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree of architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
