Stateside Affairs, the Manasquan-based bilingual, woman- and minority-owned government affairs and public relations company, is celebrating its 9th anniversary this month.
That the anniversary comes during Diverse Business Month is added cause for celebration, founder and CEO Cristina Pinzon said.
“Celebrating nine years in business alongside New Jersey’s inaugural Diverse Business Month, Stateside Affairs is proud of the significant strides we have made as a minority- and woman-owned public relations and government affairs firm,” she said. “Our journey has been marked by hard work, dedication and the rewarding experience of breaking glass ceilings. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all minority-owned businesses during this momentous month.”
The importance of diverse-owned businesses to New Jersey’s economy has never been more evident.
According to the New Jersey Legislature, businesses owned by persons of color, women, veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community play a vital role. Persons of color own 21.7% of businesses in the state, while women and veterans own 39.6% and 4.2%, respectively.
Despite their significant economic impact, diverse-owned businesses face growth challenges, including limited access to capital. A statewide study revealed significant disparities for diverse-owned businesses in securing formal prime contracts for construction, professional services and general goods and services.
Pinzon said Stateside Affairs’ success is a credit to its insistence on leading with integrity, innovation and a commitment to excellence — all while championing the growth and recognition of diverse-owned businesses in New Jersey and beyond.
The company’s reputation for success has garnered both state and regional recognition for its work in public affairs, as well as print and digital communications.
As industry leaders, the Stateside Affairs team prides itself in delivering plans that are beautifully designed and skillfully executed, gaining its clients nationwide recognition for quality work.
Pinzon has been recognized by many, including ROI-NJ, which has included her on a number of its ROI Influencers lists. Pinzon also was included on Insider NJ’s power list for millennials.
LisaMarie Gaeta, the firm’s director of marketing and operations, was named to Consulting Magazine’s 2024 Rising Stars of the Profession award.
The firm also has won two prestigious Stevie Awards — a silver for ethics in sales and a bronze for social media.
