Paramus-based Bergen New Bridge Medical Center has partnered with Vitalant to respond to the urgent need for blood within the community by hosting a blood drive from 1:45-5 p.m. Aug. 12 in its auditorium.
“Blood supplies remain critically low, and we encourage our community to join our many staff members who will be donating blood during our drive,” Bergen New Bridge CEO and President Deborah Visconi said. “Every donation saves lives, and it will take all of us working together to make sure we have sufficient supplies for those in need.”
Donors who are registered with Vitalant’s Donor Rewards Program are eligible to receive a special appreciation gift, and all donors will have a chance to win one of two $10,000 grocery gift cards. Light refreshments will be provided. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, eat a meal before donating, bring identification and drink plenty of water both before and after donating.
