Kris Kolluri, who had announced that his resignation as CEO of the Gateway Development Commission would be effective Aug. 16, will be staying on the job into October instead, ROI-NJ has learned.
Kolluri, who had announced his resignation in mid-July, notified his staff in a message that the board has asked him to stay on “through the middle of October,” and he has agreed to do so.
When he resigned, Kolluri said he had seen the project through its full funding agreement, and that he believed it was time for a new leader to oversee construction.
That is still the intent, but on a different timeframe.
“I want to ensure there is continuity as the board starts the process to select a new CEO to oversee the construction phase, and I am happy to be staying on with all of you for this period to achieve that goal,” his message said.
