ROI Influencers: People of Color 2024
#1 Luis De La Hoz; Carlos Medina
Chairman; CEO
Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of N.J.
Here’s the first thing you need to know about Luis De La Hoz and Carlos Medina, the leaders of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey: They will do anything at any time to help any Hispanic business in New Jersey.
Here’s the second thing you need to know: When they find out they have been named the co-No. 1 selection for the 2024 ROI Influencers: People of Color list, they will insist that so many more members of the chamber share in the honor.
Familia: It is more than a saying, it’s the mission and the vision of the state’s largest and strongest chamber.
That’s why De La Hoz and Medina will insist that the chamber’s board of directors (Claribel Cortes, Jeffrey Martinez and Arturo Osorio), executive staff (Aixa Lopez, Jairo Borja, Erica Horton, Danilo Melan, Daniela Velez and Kevin Colorado) and board members (Blenda Pinto, Cristina Pinzon, Elisa Charters, Dana Rodriguez, Guillermo Artiles, John Lucas, Lilia Rios, Luis Alamo, Robert Polanco and Monica Martinez-Milan) share in the honor.
The chamber does so much for its more than 7,000 members — and a Hispanic community that creates more than $1 trillion of economic activity in the state — that it only makes sense for the honor to be shared.
It’s this type of all-in attitude that helps the chamber run its wildly successful Hispanic Entrepreneurship Training Programs, its Health and Wellness Fair and Féria de Negocios, its annual business expo that has long established itself as one of the most important — and certainly the most festive — expo events in the state.
The chamber has been recognized nationally — twice — for being the top Hispanic business chamber in the country. That’s no surprise. It’s just another reason why this honor from ROI-NJ, long overdue, can be added to its list of accomplishments.
