Glover, Smith, Sullivan, Bergeron to be honored as changemakers by African American Chamber

William “Smokey” Glover of Fulton Bank, Tequila Smith of Reworld Waste and Tim Sullivan of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority will be honored by the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey as “changemakers” this fall.

Tom Bergeron of ROI-NJ also will be honored.

The four will be honored at the chamber’s 14th annual Corporate Awards Dinner, to be held Oct. 18 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Cherry Hill.

Each year during the month of October, the AACCNJ selects a number of corporations and small business owners that have made significant contributions to the success of the AACCNJ and New Jersey.

Glover serves as the director of fair and responsible banking at Fulton Bank.

Smith serves as the chief sustainability and environmental officer, as well as the head of government and community relations, at Reworld Waste.

Sullivan is the CEO of the NJEDA.

Bergeron is the co-founder and editor of ROI-NJ.

“The 2024 honorees have played a pivotal role in positioning our members, communities and countless individuals in realizing their ambitions thus upholding the significance of capitalism and free enterprise,” AACCNJ CEO John Harmon said.

“It is through our engagement with representatives of both the private and public sectors that we forge these alliances to mitigate the systemic underperformance of the over 1.2 million Black people in New Jersey.”
