Montclair’s newest multifamily community, the Clair, now open

Real estate firms the Hampshire Cos. and the Pinnacle Cos. on Wednesday said the Clair, a 40-unit luxury multifamily community located at 37 Orange Road in Montclair, is now open.

Designed by Minno & Wasko, the Clair’s studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments are built around the needs of today’s apartment residents, with open floorplans, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances and kitchen pantries.

Beyond their homes, residents can enjoy a comprehensive amenity package that includes valet parking, package service, community Wi-Fi, electric vehicle charging stations, a clubhouse and business center, an outdoor courtyard with grills, a roof terrace and in-unit house cleaning.

Residents of the Clair can enjoy exclusive access to the adjacent 159-room MC Hotel, which offers a wealth of amenities including a fully equipped business center, indoor/outdoor lounge spaces, a modern fitness center and convenient drop-off dry cleaning services. Additionally, residents can take advantage of special perks such as discounted hotel rooms and catering events and savings at the hotel’s Allegory Restaurant & Bar, MC Market and the Alto Rooftop Lounge.

“Apartment residents today seek opportunities to connect not only with their fellow residents but also with the vibrant community right outside their doors,” James E. Hanson II, CEO and president of the Hampshire Cos., said. “We are confident that the Clair’s comprehensive amenity package and prime location at the gateway to one of the state’s most dynamic downtowns provide the perfect environment to foster these connections.”

Jeff Sica, CEO, president and chief investment officer of Circle Squared Alternative Investments, a partner on the project, said, “It is an honor to be involved with bringing this beautiful project to what we consider the most exciting town in New Jersey.”

OceanFirst Bank provided financing for rhe Clair. The Hampshire Cos. has tapped Sparrow Asset Management to oversee leasing at the community. The Hampshire Cos. will serve as property manager upon stabilization.
