NJ Sharing Network’s back-to-school supplies drive supports students in Newark and Paterson

Notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, calculators and more were recently collected and donated by NJ Sharing Network, a New Providence-based nonprofit organization responsible for the recovery of donated organs and tissue for transplant in the Garden State, to benefit students in need in Newark and Paterson.

The collected supplies were packaged at NJ Sharing Network’s headquarters and distributed to K-12 public school students during NJ Sharing Network’s Live Healthy and Move community events.

“Our NJ Sharing Network team and partners saw an opportunity to come together and make a meaningful impact on the lives of local children by ensuring they have the tools they need for academic success,” Carolyn Welsh, CEO and president of NJ Sharing Network, said. “The overwhelming response to our back-to-school supplies drive reflects our team’s dedication to uplifting and empowering the communities we serve.”

NJ Sharing Network’s team of dedicated staff work 24/7/365 along with its volunteers and partners to serve and provide hope for the nearly 4,000 New Jersey residents who are currently awaiting transplantation. The nonprofit is also part of the national recovery system, which is in place for over 100,000 people on the national waiting list.
