Berkeley College appoints new director, corporate and community relations

Berkeley College recently named Lynn Stamatelatos as director, corporate and community relations. In her new role, Stamatelatos will oversee the Berkeley College Corporate Learning Partnership program in the state, cultivating relationships with businesses, local governments and nonprofits, and facilitating higher education and training initiatives for their workforces.

Stamatelatos joined Berkeley College in 2012 as coordinator of special projects, where she managed the conversion and archival of alumni data. Since that time, she has served in various roles with career services, alumni relations and campus operations. Stamatelatos is a resident of Wyckoff.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to grow our corporate partnerships at Berkeley College,” Stamatelatos stated. “This position highlights Berkeley College’s dedication to the community by launching programs that improve access to education. I am enthusiastic about working with our partners on strong talent development initiatives, cultivating long-term relationships that promote mutual growth and achievement.”

The Berkeley College Corporate Learning Partnership program offers discounted tuition and customized training to employees seeking skills to advance their careers. More than 175 companies are currently enrolled in the program.

Stamatelatos also works to enhance the relationships between the Berkeley College Career Services team and employers, developing pipelines for internships and jobs for students and alumni, and arranging dynamic guest speakers across various career fields.

Stamatelatos is a lifelong community volunteer, most recently focusing on fundraising with Families for Families and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. She is a member of the New Jersey Career Center Consortium, an organization that seeks to increase the professionalism of career centers.

At Berkeley College, Stamatelatos has received the President’s Award for Making a Difference, the Extra Mile Award and the Be Exceptional Award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ramapo College.
