Diaz named to board of Hispanic Chamber

Uli Diaz, senior vice president of government and community affairs at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, has joined the board of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey.

In his role at Horizon, Diaz has been a staunch advocate for diversity & inclusion, ensuring that underrepresented communities’ voices are heard at the corporate and policy-making levels. His dedication to fostering economic development and empowerment within the Hispanic community aligns seamlessly with the mission of the Hispanic Chamber.

Diaz’s appointment to the board is pivotal as the SHCCNJ continues to expand its programs and initiatives to foster entrepreneurship and economic development within the Hispanic business community.

Chamber CEO Carlos Medina said Diaz’s leadership and strategic vision will undoubtedly play a key role in shaping the chamber’s future endeavors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ulises Diaz to the board of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey,” he said. “Ulises’ leadership and extensive background in government and community affairs will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for the interests of Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs across the state.”

The SHCCNJ represents more than 120,000 Latino businesses that contribute more than $90 billion to the New Jersey economy. It is the largest chamber in New Jersey — and has been honored as “Chamber of the Year” by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
