NAI James E. Hanson helps ink 10K sq. ft. lease in Sussex County to bring 1st pickleball center to area

The first standalone pickleball center in Sussex County will soon be constructed, thanks to NAI James E. Hanson, which negotiated a full-building, 10,200-square-foot industrial/flex lease located at 11 Millpond Drive in Lafayette.

Hanson’s John Schilp represented the owner, 11 Millpond Drive LLC, in the exclusive transaction with the tenant, the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges.

Berardi Building Co., a leading general contractor and construction management firm based in Sparta, is conducting a tenant buildout and will transform the property. Additionally, Chris Wolverton of HQW Architects, a leading full-service architectural firm based in Sparta, is serving as the architect on the project.

Situated in central Sussex County, 11 Millpond Drive is a single-story industrial/flex building spanning 10,200 square feet. The property’s location at the corner of Millpond Drive and Route 94 in Lafayette offers convenient access to Routes 15 and 206. The building offers high ceilings and column-free clear span.

“Pickleball’s growing popularity over the past few years has made it a demand driver for flex/industrial space throughout New Jersey,” Schilp said. “11 Millpond Drive is one of many area buildings owned and managed by Berardi Building Co.”
