Affinity Federal Credit Union recently celebrated the opening of its new branch in Lawrenceville. The branch, located at 138 Franklin Corner Road, officially opened in July and was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event last Thursday that hosted community businesses and organizations.
The new branch brings Affinity to 15 locations in New Jersey and 20 total locations. Affinity identified the need for physical branches to best meet member needs and serve its mission of people helping people. The additional branch is one of three that has opened its doors in the past 14 months and is part of the ambitious efforts to provide financial wellbeing resources and tailored financial services to members.
“With the addition of the Lawrenceville branch, we are excited to deepen our engagement in the area with a physical location and further our mission of enhancing the financial wellbeing of our members,” said Shawn Lubitz, vice president, retail and digital branches, at Affinity. “The continued growth underscores our commitment to supporting our members and the communities they reside in.”

The Affinity Foundation is honored to announce its inaugural grantees in Mercer County as part of its ongoing dedication to supporting local communities. Each of the following organizations are recipients of a $5,000 grant:
- HomeFront: Dedicated to ending homelessness in Central New Jersey by empowering families and increasing affordable housing.
- Mercer Street Friends: Addressing poverty and trauma through programs focused on food, families, and education.
- Trenton Area Soup Kitchen: Serving thousands of meals weekly while offering resources for self-sufficiency and quality of life improvement.
- Trenton United Family Foundation: Supporting youth development and community initiatives focusing on impactful action.
