Hartz Mountain inks 2 new leases for logistics/warehouse building in Cranford

Secaucus-based Hartz Mountain Industries announced two new lease signings for 109,200 square feet of logistics/warehouse space at 740 Walnut Ave., Cranford.

With these lease signings, Phase 1 of a two-phase logistics/warehouse building complex has been fully preleased before completion of construction. Tenants include Johnstone Supply, a national HVAC wholesale distributor with over 450 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and Cavalier Logistics, which specializes in third-party logistics for health care, biopharmaceutical and government services.

Hartz Mountain’s plans for Phase 2, a 132,000-square-foot modern logistics/warehouse building at the adjacent property, 730 Walnut Ave., were also unveiled. The building will be open for occupancy in May 2025 and is currently available for prelease.

The new building’s advanced features and strategic location position it as a strong contender for companies looking to expand operations with unparalleled accessibility. The site provides immediate access to the nation’s most densely populated region and is connected to national and international markets. The New Jersey Turnpike, Routes 1&9, 22, 27, ports and airports provide nearby access.

The 730 Walnut Ave. building features 81 parking spaces, 16 loading docks and one drive-in. The Class A building caters to various types of logistics and warehouse companies. Twenty-six additional loading docks and one drive-in are potentially available.

According to the Hartz leasing team of Charlie Reese and Stephen Benoit: “The building offers unmatched connectivity and operational efficiency for businesses seeking a Class A logistics or warehouse facility. 730 Walnut Ave. is strategically located and designed specifically to meet and exceed the industrial and logistic needs of the most innovative companies.”
