SIXT USA, which bills itself as a car rental company with a superior level of service, announced Wednesday that it is strengthening its presence in the New Jersey and New York metro area as part of its ongoing U.S. expansion.
Early next year, SIXT will grow its footprint at Newark Liberty International Airport by expanding its current branch located in the car rental facility adjacent to Terminal A. SIXT recently opened a location in Jersey City inside the Newport Center Mall.
SIXT North America President Tom Kennedy said the region is an important hub for the company.

Kennedy said SIXT’s expansion in New Jersey (and New York City) reflects the company’s commitment to providing the best possible experience to air travel passengers and rental car customers.
The company bills itself as having a service-first staff, sleek and contemporary design, streamlined check-in that invites customers to go directly to their car, and a premium fleet featuring the latest luxury makes and models.
The flagship New Jersey airport branch will exemplify the premium customer experience that distinguishes SIXT from ordinary rent-a-car companies, Kennedy said.
Terminal A is a recent winner of multiple awards for excellence, including the UNESCO Prix Versailles Award, LEED Gold Certification and a five-star rating from global airport evaluation firm Skytrax.
SIXT operates more than 100 rental branches in 25 states, employs more than 2,000 team members and now serves 49 of the most important airports across the country.
SIXT is based in Germany.
