Pancheros Mexican Grill is continuing its growth in the New Jersey market with the opening of a second location in Marlton next week.

Adding a fourth restaurant to a growing portfolio, a longtime franchise team — James Kolzow and Mike Yurcho — is expanding Pancheros’ footprint in the Garden State, bringing the total number of restaurants in the state to 11.

The new restaurant will be located in the bustling Towne Place Center off Route 73. There, Kolzow and Yurcho will leverage 15 years of Pancheros franchising to bring residents and travelers of the area fresh Mexican offerings. Since 2009, Kolzow and Yurcho have teamed with operator Pat Lyons to expand the brand in New Jersey, adding to the 70-plus Pancheros locations nationwide. With a growing demand for “Burritos Better Built,” the team embraces guest excitement for Pancheros by growing the brand’s presence in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

“Opening our fourth Pancheros location in Marlton demonstrates how much we believe in our team, in New Jersey’s appetite for better burritos and in the brand we chose to grow with,” Kolzow, the Marlton Pancheros’ co-owner, said. “With a passion for building teams and uplifting culture for both our staff and guests, expanding with Pancheros just makes sense.”

With a desire to be business owners, Kolzow — an airline pilot — and Yurcho — an entrepreneur — found that Pancheros provided the support and resources needed to begin their franchise business. Kolzow and Yurcho opened their first Pancheros in July 2009 in Voorhees, and have since expanded the flavors of Pancheros to Berlin in 2016 and Cherry Hill in 2022. Now, the Marlton location opening marks the continued growth of this team and proves the potential in the franchisee experience with Pancheros.

“What was once a dream has now come to fruition four times over. We are honored to be in every community we serve and to share burritos we are huge fans of,” Yurcho, the Marlton Pancheros’ co-owner, said. “We found our start with Pancheros and are thrilled to see what the second Marlton location brings to our team and to everyone enjoying our fresh food.”

Pancheros Mexican Grill says its burritos are “better built” by incorporating fresh-pressed tortillas, homemade queso and high-quality ingredients. The brand also offers bowls, tacos, vegetarian and vegan options, and more.

To celebrate the Marlton grand opening, Pancheros will kick off with a digital, weeklong, $1 burrito event for locals starting Oct. 8. Guests can enter the code “Dollarton” on the Pancheros app to receive a $1 burrito, valid through Oct. 15. Guests who download the app will receive rewards and promotion opportunities throughout the year.

“To see New Jersey embrace better built burritos and build up each business owner across the state proves this is just the beginning of a greater desire for businesses centered on keeping food and hospitality simple,” Rodney Anderson, Pancheros’ founder and president, said. “Whether a team starts its franchise journey with us or looks to expand a rich background of ownership, we thoroughly support the goals of our brand family as our proven business model finds a home in cities across New Jersey and nationwide.”

Slated to open on October 1, the second Marlton restaurant is located at 501 Route 73 S., Marlton, and spans 2,400 square feet. The location is easily accessible to those traveling on Route 73 and Marlton residents alike.
