Time for Turbines, state’s top offshore wind conference

An all-star cast of panelists and keynote speakers – and numerous in-person trips to key locations in South Jersey – highlight Time for Turbines 7, a two-day event set for Thursday-Friday at Stockton University in Atlantic City.

The event will have panels featuring the top government officials involved in the sector in the state (including DEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette and BPU President Christine Guhl-Sadovy), a fireside chat with Atlantic Shores CEO Joris Veldhoven, and panels on transmission, the wind port, workforce development and supply chain.

There will be a talk on perhaps the biggest issue: ‘Navigating Choppy Financial Waters.’
The event will feature two keynote addresses:

  • On Thursday, Dr. Elizabeth Cercero, an associate professor of Medicine, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, will discuss impact of climate change;
  • On Friday, John Shinn, the secretary-treasurer of the United Steelworkers, will discuss supply chain.
