Archer’s Cevasco named Lawyer of Year by Bergen County Bar Association

Archer & Greiner partner Andrew Cevasco has been selected by the Bergen County Bar Association as a recipient of a 2024 Professional Lawyer of the Year Award.

Professionalism awards are presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law, and the various county and affinity bar associations.

The awards are presented annually to lawyers selected by bar associations across New Jersey who, by virtue of their exemplary conduct, competence, diligence and demeanor, set a positive example for others. The award will be presented to Cevasco at the BCBA Professionalism Dinner, Oct. 22 in Washington Township.

Throughout his career, Cevasco has demonstrated dedication to public service, including his work for over a decade on the N.J. Supreme Court Committee on Character, which reviews applications for admission to the New Jersey Bar, and his service on the N.J. Supreme Court District IIB Ethics Committee.

Cevasco has handled a broad array of legal matters in his over 40-year career. He regularly counsels clients in the planning and administration of estates and trusts and drafting of wills and trusts, and provides administration of estates and trusts. He is an experienced litigator representing clients in will contests, trust litigation and probate matters. He also represents clients with regard to guardianship and elder law issues Andrew also counsels the firm’s commercial clients on matters related to business planning, business formation and dissolution, employment and contract issues, and real estate. He has also appeared before the Disciplinary Review Board and the New Jersey Supreme Court to represent attorneys who have been charged with violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
