Walters‘ Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II, a 34-unit premium, income-restricted apartment community in Manahawkin, this fall is marking major milestones. Located at 200 Back Road, the community is currently accepting leasing applications, and its first residents have moved in.
Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II is open to individuals and families who do not make more than 60 percent of the area’s median income. Rental rates are based on income, family size and the number of bedrooms.
The Ocean County development features four buildings, offering a total of 34 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Two buildings are completed and now welcoming residents; the remaining two are slated for a November 2024 opening.
“We’re seeing a great deal of interest in this high-quality community where residents can enjoy modern amenities and eco-conscious living,” Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Barnegat-based developer Walters, said.
In addition to managing the property, Walters provides on-site supportive services to help residents thrive. Year-round resources include after-school programs, special interest clubs, career readiness, a food pantry program, eviction prevention and social services assistance. Community amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a children’s tot lot, a basketball court and clubhouse with computer workstations. Apartments are equipped with in-unit washers/dryers.
