New Jersey Brain and Spine inks 16,222 SF lease to relocate in Paramus

Cresa announced on Wednesday that its New Jersey-based Medical Practice Group, led by Managing Principals Jonathan Marks and Dennis Gralla, represented New Jersey Brain and Spine in its 16,222-square-foot lease at 650 From Rd. in Paramus.

The number one ranked neurosurgery practice in the state, and number five in the U.S., will relocate from 2 University Place in Hackensack where it has 13,559 square feet in January.

650 From Rd. is a 348,510-square-foot office building and the largest Class A office property in Paramus.  Owner Onyx Equities initiated a $10 million capital campaign in 2020 that transformed the outdated property into a modern workplace complete with new, sophisticated lobbies and common areas; a full-service food hall; a state-of-the-art conference center; and indoor and outdoor employee lounge areas.

“Operationally and geographically, this is a terrific move for us,” New Jersey Brain and Spine’s Dr. Hooman Azmi said. “Our new space allows us to continue our mission of providing top-tier neurosurgical care with the utmost convenience for our patients.”

“Our needs were very specific so it’s exciting to have found a new location that not only meets those requirements, but also enhances our ability to provide better care for our patients,” New Jersey Brain and Spine’s Dr. Reza Karimi added.

Hackensack Meridian Health and ENT Allergy Associates recently moved into the five-story building which is conveniently situated near Bergen County hospitals, just off East Ridgewood Ave. and easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway. It offers proximity to some of Bergen County’s best amenities along Route 17 as well as hotels, major shopping destinations like Paramus Park Mall, golf courses, and a variety of restaurants in Paramus and nearby Ridgewood.

“This complex disposition and relocation is a pivotal step for New Jersey Brain and Spine’s continued growth and success,” Marks said. “This upgraded space at 650 From Rd. offers the perfect combination of a premier medical environment and accessibility to key medical institutions in Bergen County. The practice is well positioned to provide patients with state-of-the-art care for years to come.”

In addition to the Paramus office, New Jersey Brain and Spine has several other locations in New Jersey including Hackensack, Montvale, and Montclair.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Ben Brenner, David DeMatteis, and Mark Zaziski represented ownership in the transaction. The new space is being designed by Bill Kimmerle of Kimmerle Newman and overseen by Cresa Project Manager Justin Eagle and New Jersey Brain and Spine’s Jeanmarie Falco. Three 17 Construction is the general contractor.
