Stein elevated to co-chair of CSG’s Corporate and Securities Group

Glenn Stein has been named Chair of CSG Law’s Corporate and Securities Group, joining his colleague and fellow Chair, Junie Hahn, in the leadership of the practice group, the firm announced Wednesday.

The appointment becomes official on Nov. 1.

Stein steps into the role held by Edward Stevenson who will continue as a member of the group and in various management roles both within and outside the firm.

Prior to his appointment as chair, Stein was the Practice Group Leader of the CSG Law Corporate & Securities Group.

Stein has a diverse corporate practice involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital financing transactions, debt offerings, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and joint development transactions. He also counsels a wide range of public and private companies on their day-to-day legal concerns, including the drafting and negotiation of operating agreements, stockholder agreements, employment agreements, consulting agreements, and contractual arrangements with distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and vendors.

Stevenson and Stein joined CSG Law in 2016, from a New York City-based firm, expanding the capabilities and reach of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Group. At that time, Stevenson was named chair of the group, with Stein taking on the role of Practice Group Leader shortly thereafter.

“Ed continues to demonstrate leadership as he provides the opportunity for Glenn to ascend to the role of Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Group,” Executive Committee member Frank Giantomasi said. “Over the past year the firm has provided opportunities to the next generation of leaders, and we are glad to see Glenn begin his service leading the group in this capacity.”

Stevenson said he’s glad to see Stein succeed him in the role.

“It has been an honor to serve as Chair of the Corporate & Securities Group, and now to pass along this honor to my good friend and colleague, Glenn,” he said. “Glenn possesses all of the qualities necessary to lead this group, and has demonstrated his commitment to the firm, our group and our clients throughout his tenure.”

Managing Member Patricia Costello applauded the announcement.

“Thank you, Ed, for your leadership and your continued dedication to your group and CSG Law,” she said. “We are very excited for Glenn and for this new opportunity to partner with Junie. Their leadership abilities are well known and well deserved, and we all look forward to working with them both.”
