JAG Physical therapy renews partnership with Rutgers Athletics

Will continue as preferred physical therapy partner for over 730 student-athletes

JAG Physical Therapy on Wednesday announced it renewed its partnership with Rutgers University Athletics as its preferred physical therapy provider. With this partnership, which began in 2022, JAG Physical Therapy’s signage will continue to be seen at Rutgers sports games and The Yard, the campus’s “front porch” for residential life and the wider New Brunswick community, increasing awareness of the vital health services that are accessible for anyone in need.

JAG Physical Therapy will ensure that Rutgers’ more than 730 student-athletes receive the highest quality sports medicine and physical and occupational therapy services from on-site certified athletic trainers in the heart of New Jersey.

JAG Physical Therapy recently opened its 150th facility in New Brunswick, selecting a site that is just a two-minute drive or a short walk away from the campus.

This proximity is a testament to the company’s commitment to providing a wide range of specialized services to the full Rutgers University community of over 67,000 students and 10,000 faculty members. At a recent ribbon cutting for the new office, Rutgers’ mascot, Sir Henry the Scarlet Knight, and other Rutgers representatives were present in support of this increasingly close partnership.

“As the birthplace of college football, Rutgers is one of America’s most important athletic institutions,” John Gallucci Jr., president and CEO of JAG Physical Therapy, said. “Our ongoing partnership as their preferred physical therapy provider will ensure that our Scarlet Knights and the full Rutgers student and faculty population have access to the best trainers, therapists, equipment and facilities right in their own neighborhood.”

“We’re thrilled to continue working closely with JAG Physical Therapy to support the immediate and long-term health needs of our student-athletes,” Lisa Tirrell, president and chief executive officer for Scarlet Asset Management Company, a subsidiary of Rutgers University, said. “As we continue our partnership, we know our players, teams and fans are all in great hands with JAG’s incredible, devoted team of athletic trainers and therapists, on-site and nearby. We are proud to consider them part of our Rutgers family.”
