Pediatric Dentist Duck Duck Tooth coming to Capitol Plaza in Ewing

Levin Management arranges 3,900-SF lease at Mercer County Retail Center

Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is the second health care-focused tenant to join the retail mix at Capitol Plaza in Ewing Township this year. The pediatric dental practice leased 3,900 square feet at the 355,000-square-foot Mercer County community shopping center.

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as leasing and managing agent for Capitol Plaza, which is well located at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 206/Princeton Avenue and N. Olden Avenue. Fred Younkin, LMC leasing representative, orchestrated the transaction on behalf of the landlord; Jon Porter of CARR represented the tenant.

Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry represents a new business venture for experienced local pediatric dental practitioner Maya Thompson, DMD, who is establishing her own private practice at Capitol Plaza. Thompson will provide a complete range of preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence – including those with special health care needs – in a state-of-the-art environment.

Thomspon grew up locally and has strong ties to the community.

“My goal at Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is to create a positive experience and to provide a solid dental foundation for children and families, so that when my patients are adults they have the skills and confidence to take an active role in their oral health,” she said. “As someone born and raised in the Trenton area, it is particularly exciting to come ‘home’ and create this wonderful space at Capitol Plaza where I can meet the dental needs of the community.”

“Health care concepts contribute significantly to a retail property, creating a ‘one-stop’ destination where patients can shop, dine and access care all in one convenient location,” said Younkin, adding that America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses also recently opened at the property. “We are extremely pleased to have assisted Dr. Thompson in selecting the right location for her new business.”

Anchored by Marshall’s, Save A Lot, Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree and dd’s Discounts, Capitol Plaza’s tenant roster also includes Forman Mills, American Furniture, Harbor Freight Tools, Rainbow, Snipes, Foot Locker, Pork Chop’s BBQ and Wingstop, along with a complement of service and restaurant tenants. Capitol Plaza also features an onsite office component, home to Jersey College School of Nursing.
