For the second consecutive year, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named Virtua Health a “Level 10” Most Wired health system – the highest possible honor. This marks Marlton-based Virtua’s 13th consecutive year on the Most Wired list.
Michigan-based CHIME requires health systems to meet or exceed stringent criteria to be awarded Level 10 designation. According to CHIME, Most Wired assessed the digital health ecosystems of 48,000 care sites across the country, including inpatient acute care, long-term post-acute care, and ambulatory and community-based care.
“The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Survey for 2024 is a testament to an even further acceleration of digital transformation in healthcare than we’ve seen in previous years,” Russ Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME, said. “While in the last few years we still saw reactive, pandemic-related innovation, in 2024, we see that innovation was much more organic, proactive, and incredibly sophisticated.”
“Achieving Level 10 Most Wired status for a second year is a testament to Virtua’s commitment to digital evolution and a recognition of the work our team has done to leverage technology to improve patient care, experience, and confidence,” Tom Gordon, senior vice president and chief information officer at Virtua Health, said. “We will continue to invest and innovate to maintain trust in the years ahead.”
