Roseland-based Brach Eichler LLC on Monday announced that Stan Barrett has joined the firm’s litigation practice as a partner.

Barrett brings with him more than a decade of experience offering sophisticated and strategic legal solutions to clients engaged in complex commercial disputes, including class action securities litigations, securities-related matters affecting closely held companies and partnership disputes, complex contract matters, fiduciary duty matters and shareholder derivative investigations, merger and acquisitions litigation, and intellectual property litigation.

Barrett has also led numerous internal investigations and represented U.S. and international institutional clients in white collar defense matters before the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, the Board of the Federal Reserve, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

“Stan Barrett will be an immediate asset at a time of incredible momentum and strategic focus for our litigation practice,” Keith Roberts, chair of the Litigation practice said. “He has an ability to impart commercially sophisticated legal advice and guidance that empowers his clients to meet their business objectives. Drawing on his extensive litigation experience and academic background, he brings a unique perspective to complex legal issues and knows how best to convey his clients’ positions to achieve optimal results. He will play a key role in the expansion of our client offering and the development of the next generation of Brach Eichler litigators. We are excited to welcome him to the firm.”

Before joining Brach Eichler, Barrett honed his legal skills for nearly a decade at Davis Polk and then at Scarinci Hollenbeck, representing companies and individuals in commercial disputes. He has also developed a robust cable television and telecommunications regulatory practice, where he routinely represents major cable television providers in state regulatory matters.

“We are grateful to have Stan Barrett join our Litigation practice,” John Fanburg, Brach Eichler managing member said. “He is an outstanding litigator who is as talented as he is shrewd. From commercial litigation to regulatory enforcement to complex business disputes, his experience and the results he obtains for his clients are always top notch.”
