Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living welcomes new executive director

Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living has named Erika Gagliardi as its new executive director. Located at 255 East Main Street in Moorestown, the assisted living community is known for its passionate staff of caregivers and health professionals who strive to inspire and guide residents to live life to its fullest potential.

Gagliardi’s career in the senior living sector spans 14 years. Her breadth of experience includes five years as an executive director prior to her appointment at Cambridge, as well as serving as director of memory care and activities director.

“I have always been interested in providing seniors with care and comfort,” Gagliardi said. “I majored in human services in college with the intention of working with at-risk children. But after completing an internship at a senior living community, I knew that serving the geriatric population was the right path for me.”

A lifelong resident of Gloucester County, Gagliardi said that her own family’s struggles with caring for a loved one with memory loss also had a tremendous impact on her choice of profession.

“My grandmother developed dementia at a young age and passed away when I was 10 years old. Witnessing my mother’s challenges and compassion in caring for her made me want to make a difference, to implement change and help make life better for those with the disease,” she added.

Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Cambridge, is working closely with Gagliardi and the community’s leadership team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Erika as executive director of this unique community,” Marquis’ Alan Eserner, vice president of operations, said. “Her energy and leadership skills are a perfect match for Cambridge’s warm, welcoming environment. She respects her team and is committed to ensuring that they work well together and have the resources to provide every resident with the care they deserve.”

Gagliardi is excited by the opportunity Cambridge offers to lead the community while also being hands-on. “I enjoy being involved with residents, getting to know family members and helping staff on the floor. From the front desk concierge to the dining room staff, every interaction that every staff member has is important – and their dedication and compassion shine through.”
