Montclair Veterinary Associates inks 10-year lease close to business district

A 5,252-square-foot space within a structure originally built as a private residence more than a century ago is now home to Montclair Veterinary Associates. The 10-year lease arrangement was brokered by Sheldon Gross Realty Vice President Eric Weston.

Located at 63 Park Street, the two-story building is just a few steps from the corner of Claremont Avenue and a quarter mile from Montclair’s renowned Bloomfield Avenue business district. In addition to Montclair, the veterinary practice serves clients in such nearby towns as Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, Glen Ridge, and Verona.

“For a small, service-based business, this property offers multiple benefits,” Weston said.  “The building dates to 1910, so it’s quite charming – and having multiple rooms is ideal for a veterinarian. Parking is available in an on-site lot and along the street, and the Montclair location means you’re in close proximity to a sizeable, local population of pet owners.”

The 63 Park Street building served for many years as an American Red Cross location. In 2020, it was acquired by developers who undertook a thorough renovation. In addition to the veterinary practice, the structure also includes two residential apartments.
