The Valley Hospital announced it received an award of merit in health care from Engineering News-Record New York as part of the organization’s 2024 New York Best Projects list.

ENR New York serves as a source of engineering and construction news, analysis, commentary, and data for construction professionals located in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The hospital, which moved and opened in Paramus, on April 14, was recognized for its facility highlights, including a campus integrated with green space and architectural highlights, such as the curvilinear staircase connecting the first and second floor lobbies.

Valley Health System worked with design and structural engineering group HDR, general contracting group Torcon, civil engineer group InSite Engineering, and MEP engineer group Smith Group.

“Since announcing The Valley Hospital’s move from Ridgewood to Paramus in 2017, our facilities team has worked closely with our internal teams and community partners to bring all of the plans to fruition. This award from ENR is a testament to our hard work,” Joseph Lorino, vice president of Facilities Management at Valley Health System, said. “We look forward to the high-quality care that this facility will offer our community for generations to come.”
