Lee & Associates – WBE arranged a 61,000-square-foot industrial lease for salty snack maker Wise Foods at 70 Maltese Drive in Totowa.
Lee & Associates’ Andrew Stypa, Daniel Badenhausen and Kyle Janoczkin served as tenant brokers in the transaction; Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Longpoint.
Headquartered in Berwick, Pa., Wise Foods is the largest regional snack food company in the United States. The commitment represents a relocation and expansion from the company’s current Bergen County location. It also underscores Lee & Associates – WBE’s long-standing client relationships. Stypa has worked on behalf of Wise Foods for approximately 10 years; another lease transaction for the company is expected to close shortly.
“This property’s Passaic County address, offering easy access to major thoroughfares, was very attractive to our client,” Stypa said. “We conducted a six-month site search on behalf of Wise Foods. Ultimately, this property’s functionality, features and size created an ideal leasing scenario and enabled our client to meet its additional space requirements.”
Wise Foods will occupy more than half of 70 Maltese Drive. The 84,000-square-foot, single-story industrial facility is situated on approximately four acres and features 16-foot ceiling heights, 10 loading docks and two drive-in doors. It is proximate to I-80; routes 46, 23 and 3; the Garden State Parkway; and Newark Liberty International Airport.
