Kris Kolluri, the former head of the Gateway Development Corporation and a former commissioner of transportation in the state, will serve as the interim CEO of NJ Transit, succeeding Kevin Corbett, for the remainder of Gov. Phil Murphy’s time in office, Kolluri confirmed Monday night.
Corbett announced Monday that he would be leaving a post he has held since January of 2018 to take a job in higher ed.
As the former commissioner of transportation in the state (he served for three years during the Corzine administration), Kolluri is a former board chair of New Jersey Transit.
