Bell Works New Jersey, a two-million square-foot “Metroburb” – or suburban metropolis – in Holmdel, continues to grow with the addition of five new tenants — a pickleball club, a sit-down restaurant, a barbershop, a mixed martial arts studio and a pet spa.
“As Bell Works New Jersey continues to evolve, we’re excited to welcome new tenants that bring even more diversity to our growing ecosystem,” Ralph Zucker, CEO of Inspired by Somerset Development, the owner and manager of Bell Works, said. “The DNA of Bell Works has always been about offering a well-rounded experience, not only for our office tenants but also for the local community. From pickleball courts to elevated dining and pet services, these additions reaffirm our commitment to creating a multifaceted destination.”
The Metroburb has recently welcomed:
- Jersey Pickleball Club (13,800 sq. ft): a premier indoor pickleball venue with professional courts, social areas, and community programming
- Mabel (4,200 sq. ft.): the first full-service restaurant, offering coastal European cuisine
- Exclusive Cuts (800 sq. ft.): an upscale barbershop providing haircuts and grooming services
- ARMR Studios (2,100 sq. ft.): a martial arts and self-defense training studio
- Peticures (900 sq. ft.): a luxury grooming and dog spa
Bell Works’ lower level will soon be home to the Jersey Pickleball Club, a premier 13,800-square-foot indoor pickleball venue. As the brand’s inaugural location, the club will feature five professional courts, social areas, lockers and more. The facility aims to create a vibrant atmosphere for players of all levels, with plans to host clinics, tournaments and community events. The Jersey Pickleball Club is expected to open in mid-March 2025.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Jersey Pickleball Club to Bell Works, continuing its tradition of promoting health and fitness,” Co-Founder Stephen Rice said. “With its central location and exceptional amenities, Bell Works is the perfect place to introduce a year-round indoor pickleball experience for players of all levels.”
Mabel, a coastal European restaurant and bar by Chefs Laura Brahn and Grace Crossman, opened earlier this month as Bell Works’ first sit-down restaurant. The restaurant’s design is intended to echo the architecture of Bell Works while incorporating natural materials and a color palette that reflects the coastal direction of the menu.
Mabel’s opening follows the September debut of Miznon Kosher, an internationally acclaimed fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant also located on The Block.
“The ever-evolving environment at Bell Works is the perfect setting for Mabel,” said Chefs Laura Brahn and Grace Crossman. “We’re excited to have added a sit-down restaurant to the mix of dining options. We look forward to offering a unique dining experience to our guests at Bell Works for years to come!”
Exclusive Cuts, an upscale barbershop hailing from Matawan specializing in haircuts and grooming services for customers of all ages, opened an 800-square-foot space last month. Known for mixing classic and traditional barbering techniques with the latest styles, the shop has already attracted a roster of clients ranging from employees in the building to locals who are already familiar with the brand.
ARMR Studios, a modern martial arts and self-defense training studio, opened in September, occupying 2,100 square feet. The studio offers classes for all ages and skill levels, specializing in realistic self-defense techniques for everyday situations and martial arts disciplines such as Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. For teens and adults, the studio provides high-energy classes that build fitness and practical skills, while children’s programs focus on self-defense, life skills and athletic development in a fun, structured environment.
“Being a part of the Bell Works New Jersey community is an incredible opportunity for ARMR,” Omar Ali, owner of ARMR Studios, said. “The thriving ecosystem here, with its high foot traffic and vibrant atmosphere, is the perfect setting for our family-friendly martial arts studio. Not only does this community allow us to introduce our training programs to a wider audience, but it also enhances the experience for our existing customers, who now benefit from everything Bell Works has to offer.
Peticures, a luxury grooming and dog spa, also recently joined the metroburb, opening in September. Occupying 900 square feet, Peticures offers premium pet care services, including grooming, massages, de-shedding and specialty treatments.
