Holmdel Bell Works, the two-million-square-foot mixed-use hub blending offices, retail, dining and hospitality, recently celebrated the official grand opening of Miznon Kosher. The Kosher-certified eatery, known for its fresh and seasonally inspired ingredients, was unveiled with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Michelin-starred Head Chef Eyal Shani.
Shani, a global leader in Mediterranean cuisine, offered special remarks during the event and joined Deputy Mayor Brian Foster in welcoming guests to experience Miznon Kosher’s take on Mediterranean street food. The event also highlighted the restaurant’s new catering services and expanded hours at the New Jersey location, making its offerings more accessible to both visitors and the wider community.
Located in the heart of The Block at Bell Works New Jersey on the ground floor, Miznon Kosher spans more than 2,300 square feet, with the capacity to seat 65 guests. The restaurant is certified by the Orthodox Union (OU) and adheres to all Kosher dietary laws. It also features a large indoor dining space with an open kitchen where guests can observe food preparation.
Miznon’s design replicates the Tel Aviv atmosphere, offering great vibes and energy at the core of the eatery’s experience. The olive-colored walls are adorned with chalk drawings featuring colorful handwritten phrases in Hebrew and English by Tel Aviv artist Guy Mizrachy.
“It was an honor to have Chef Eyal Shani, one of the most inspiring figures in global cuisine, join us to celebrate the grand opening of Miznon Kosher at Bell Works,” Ralph Zucker, founder and CEO of Inspired by Somerset Development, said. “Eyal’s presence at the event underscored the significance of this milestone and cements Miznon Kosher’s role as a cornerstone of our diverse and vibrant community. We’re excited to see how this innovative Mediterranean eatery continues to serve both the professionals within our metroburb and those in our community.”
The Miznon Kosher menu features simple plates with dishes served in brown paper bags and on cardboard. Fan favorites include a variety of unique pita dishes, plates, and sides that are reasonably priced.
“After the success of our first Miznon Kosher location in New York, we’re excited to officially mark the opening of our New Jersey location,” Liad Balki, Miznon’s director of operations, said. “Having Eyal with us for this momentous occasion made it even more memorable, as his passion and vision for Mediterranean cuisine are truly inspiring.”
Michelin-starred Chef Shani has been in the food scene for over 30 years, after opening his first restaurant in his hometown of Jerusalem. Today, he is the Head Chef and inspiration of more than 40 restaurants worldwide, including another global phenomenon, HaSalon. Shani is considered one of the leading figures in the Mediterranean culinary scene, starring in the TV series ‘Food for Thought’ and serving as a judge on the last 11 seasons of Israel’s ‘Master Chef’.
Miznon Kosher at Bell Works will be open for lunch and dinner on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
