Walters’ annual giving tree program benefits 21 resident families

Walters, the Barnegat-based real estate owner, developer, and property manager. together with its dedicated employees have embraced the spirit of generosity and goodwill this holiday season with its annual gift-giving program.

The goal this year is to assist 21 families and seniors living in Walter’s income-restricted communities.

By donating wish list items hung on a Giving Tree, volunteers will be hand-wrapping and delivering personalized items to local families and seniors this holiday. Wish list items include everything from winter clothes to toys.

“Every gift we donate to local families is a symbol of our commitment to the communities where Walters builds,” Jennifer Pampalone, Walters’ director of social services, said. “This is a heartwarming tradition that allows us to spread cheer and make the holidays a little brighter for our neighbors in need.”

Pampalone works in tandem with Walters’ property managers to provide specialized programming for residents living in family and senior income-restricted communities located throughout New Jersey.

Walters prides itself on its commitment to the community with philanthropic efforts, such as offering year-round food/necessity pantries at its properties and supporting wellness and education initiatives. Additionally, each year, Walters holds a Thanksgiving basket drive for local families, and presents scholarships to graduating seniors in the Barnegat Bay area who plan to attend college.
