HealthCare Institute of New Jersey is expanding its tea. The trade association has hired Kyle Sullender to serve as director of Government and External Relations.
“I am delighted to welcome Kyle to the HINJ team as Director of Government and External Relations,” Chief Executive Officer Chrissy Buteas, said. “His unique insight and experience and will strengthen HINJ’s ability to advocate on behalf of patient access and New Jersey’s innovation ecosystem.”
Sullender joins HINJ after serving as director of Economic Policy Research for the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), where he worked to advance the competitiveness of New Jersey’s business climate and represented association members’ policy interests in the areas of innovation and technology.
Sullender also served as the executive director of Focus NJ, an independent research nonprofit conducting timely, innovative, nonpartisan economic and workforce research to support sound public policy in New Jersey. He previously supported the Camden County Board of Commissioners, coordinating external affairs and media relations.
“New Jersey’s life sciences are hard at work finding new treatments and cures for some of the world’s most dreaded diseases, and I’m honored to join an organization focused on advancing issues around such critically important efforts,” Sullender said. “The HINJ team is highly respected in Trenton and Washington, and I’m excited to assist their advocacy on behalf of the patient community they serve.”
“Kyle’s strong background and experiences will further enhance HINJ’s capabilities and increase the already significant impact the HINJ team has on behalf of our membership. We’re excited to add him to our stellar team,” Buteas added.
