New Asian-fusion restaurant opens in Fair Lawn’s Broadway district

Fair Lawn Main Street Inc. and the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the grand opening of PHUHROO, located at 30-08 Broadway, Fair Lawn.

“PHUHROO’s decision to open up on Broadway reflects the ongoing transformation of the
commercial corridor into a vibrant business district,” Tiolora Lumbantoruan, Fair Lawn
Street Inc.’s Economic Recovery Corps. fellow, said. “We are excited by this most recent business addition and are looking forward to seeing how PHUHROO will contribute to the overall dynamism of Broadway.”

PHUHROO, an Asian fusion restaurant that prides itself on being more than just a restaurant but a culinary experience, offers a wide variety of dishes inspired from Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese culture.

In 2024, Fair Lawn was chosen to participate in the United States Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration’s federally funded Economic Recovery Corps. program.

The program, administered by the International Economic Development Council, is designed to help improve economic development outcomes in key regions.

The grand opening celebration was attended by numerous elected officials including Fair Lawn Mayor Gail Rottenstrich, Deputy Mayor Cristina Cutrone, and Assemblywoman Lisa Swain.
