The Family Success Institute (FSI), a 501c3 nonprofit organization comprising parents, advocates, community members and professionals united around helping families succeed and thrive, was awarded a $115,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).
Building on the grant awarded to FSI in 2023, this new grant will further support transformative strategies for family success in communities throughout the state.
“We are pleased to receive this grant from RWJF,” Tim Carden, executive director, FSI, said. “These funds will allow our organization to grow our relationships with organizations and residents across the state as we continuously work toward ensuring voices and experiences from New Jersey are being heard.”
Funded over two years, this grant will support FSI’s local initiatives by empowering communities through outreach and education by connecting with residents, service and faith-based organizations, nonprofit and for-profit businesses, and government agencies.
Additionally, the grant will foster the growth and impact of FSI’s Learning Community — a network of local leaders and advocates who meet to share information, experiences and inspiration and form positive strategies for collective impact.
“We remain dedicated to collaborating with our state leaders and elected officials to champion the vital importance of investing in opportunities for every family in New Jersey,” Tom Blatner, co-founder of FSI and president of the board of directors, said. “We are grateful for this grant, which empowers us to work toward our vision: of well-being as a basic right for every family, not merely a privilege for some.”
