In another example of promoting talent from within, Genova Burns has elevated Ed Bonett, Jr. and Jared Monaco to partner, and Brian MacNiven and Emily Montagna to counsel.
The moves were effective Jan. 1.
“Ed, Jared, Brian, and Emily’s promotions are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the thoughtful legal counsel they provide to our clients,” Chairman Angelo Genova said. “We are thrilled to recognize their contributions and look forward to their continued success in their new roles.”
A look at the four:
Bonett: Since coming over from the National Labor Relations Board, he has demonstrated exceptional skill in labor law. An active and engaged member of the firm, playing a key role in various initiatives that enhance the firm’s culture and outreach. He currently leads the firm’s video and podcast initiatives.
Monaco: A judge advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve, he joined Genova Burns in 2021 as an associate and has distinguished himself as a leader in Labor Law and Employment Law & Litigation.
MacNiven: His willingness to take ownership of client matters in a way that exhibits exceptional and creative judgment and strong commitment to excellence in Complex Litigation make his promotion well-deserved, Genova said.
Montagna: She has been an integral part of the firm’s corporate transactions practice area providing clients exceptional legal acumen and dedicated service.
