Earlier this week, MAD Global Strategy, a bipartisan public affairs firm, announced it acquired ConVista Public Affairs, an Ohio-based multi-client consulting firm.
ConVista founder Connie Luck will join MAD Global as a managing director based in the Ohio office, where she will lead strategic communication efforts for the firm, as well as support clients’ government affairs and lobbying needs.
Mike DuHaime was thrilled to make the announcement.
“This is an exciting time at MAD Global Strategy, as we continue to grow and expand our footprint throughout the Midwest and Northeast,” he said. “Connie is a great addition to our growing team. She brings a wealth of experience in state government, politics and strategic communications. She will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”
Luck brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications, media relations, government relations and lobbying, and crisis response and management to the firm. In addition to providing strategic counsel in public policy, communications, and politics to corporate, trade association, and nonprofit clients across the U.S.
Luck has led a multi-state government affairs team for a Fortune 100 telecommunications company. She has also served in senior communication roles for statewide and national political campaigns, as director of government affairs for JobsOhio, Ohio’s not-for-profit economic development organization, and as a press secretary to former Ohio Governor John Kasich.
The firm recently announced that Ohio-based Jai Chabria has named a partner at the firm. Chabria runs MAD Global’s Ohio operation, focused on growing the company’s regional footprint, as well as its national presence.
“We are excited to welcome Connie to the MAD Global family,” he said. “Having worked with Connie for years, I have seen firsthand that she is a proven leader with a first-class reputation. Her strong communications and government affairs credentials will further strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients.”
Luck said she is eager to get started.
“I’m thrilled to join the talented team at MAD Global and look forward to supporting the company’s continued success in Ohio and beyond,” she said. “After launching my own consulting firm just three years ago, it is an honor to be invited to work alongside some of the best public affairs and political strategists in the country.”
