NAIOP NJ presents energetic vision and new initiatives in its four-year strategic plan

NAIOP New Jersey’s 2025 Annual Meeting and Commercial Real Estate Outlook drew 250 commercial real estate professionals and industry leaders who came together to celebrate the chapter’s recent accomplishments, elect new leadership, and hear about exhilarating new initiatives, including the rollout of NAIOP NJ’s Four-Year Strategic Plan.

The event was held on January 23 at the Hilton Short Hills.

The commercial real estate development association elected its 2025 officers and trustees and welcomed incoming Chapter President Matt Schlindwein.

Outgoing Chapter President Mark Shearer was recognized for his contributions and devotion to the chapter.

“This year’s Annual Meeting was special, looking back at all that we achieved in 2024 under Mark’s leadership,” Dan Kennedy, NAIOP NJ CEO said. “We are excited to welcome Matt and our new board as we look toward a prosperous year for New Jersey’s CRE industry.”

With the recent rollout of NAIOP NJ-backed Circulate NJ and the development of the new Four-Year Strategic Plan, the chapter is reinforcing its dedication to industry advocacy, which Kennedy notes has been, and will remain, the foundation of the organization.

“Our commitment is always to build a better NAIOP New Jersey Chapter for our members,” he said. “We owe them transparency, and our Four-Year Strategic Plan establishes and clearly highlights key objectives and actions that will elevate our contributions to the commercial real estate industry.”

The program also included an insightful CRE outlook panel featuring experts from the dynamic asset classes shaping NJ’s commercial real estate industry. Following the panel was a presentation by Spencer Levy, global client strategist and senior economic advisor of CBRE, who discussed the current economic climate.
