The Cooper Foundation received a $555,000 grant from the Roots & Wings Foundation to strengthen Cooper University Health Care’s efforts to support the youngest and most vulnerable members of the community by funding essential programs focused on health care, early learning, basic needs, and safety for low-income children and families, from prenatal care through age three.
“This partnership reinforces the Foundation’s dedication to fostering positive outcomes through prevention, early intervention and transformative programming,” Philip Norcross, chairman of The Cooper Foundation Board said. “With help from community partners like the Roots & Wings Foundation, we can work towards a world where every mother and baby have the opportunity for a healthy start, regardless of socioeconomic barriers.”
“A healthy community begins with empowering families from the very beginning,” Lisa Morina, senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer at The Cooper Foundation said. “We are deeply grateful for this partnership, which allows us to advance critical initiatives that improve the health and well-being of children and families in our region.”
The Roots & Wings Foundation is dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations that empower low-income children and families to reach their full potential. Their focus on preventative and transformative programming ensures meaningful, lasting change so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
