Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) based in Westfield recently welcomed Joie Langford to the newly created role of vice president of strategic philanthropy.
Langford will lead GSHNJ’s philanthropic efforts to support its mission of building Girl Scouts of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
With more than 10 years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising, Langford successfully raised more than $15 million in philanthropic funds. She has designed and led impactful campaigns that have secured support from individuals and organizations alike.
GSHNJ says Langford’s expertise in relationship building, strategic thinking, and team development will be instrumental in driving major gifts, corporate partnerships, and foundation support.
“Joie’s passion for empowering communities, coupled with her proven track record in fundraising and donor engagement, makes her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” Natasha Hemmings, CEO of GSHNJ said. “Her expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance opportunities for the youth we serve.”
Langford held key roles at The Writing Revolution, All Stars Project, Inc., Student Leadership Network and Saint Vincent Academy, among others. She is an active member of the African American Development Officers (AADO) Network, F3: Fabulous Female Fundraisers, and Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC).
