Maria Seretis has been named chief credit officer at Spencer Savings Bank, the Elmwood Park-based community bank announced.
Seretis, who joined the bank in 2012 as a commercial lending underwriter, most recently served as VP and assistant director of commercial real estate lending. In her new role, she will be responsible for credit risk management, loan policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with lending practices and ensuring the loan portfolio reflects the bank’s overall credit culture.
President Jane Rey applauded the announcement.
“Over the years, Maria has proven herself as a valuable team member committed to excellence and driving our company’s success,” she said. “We are extremely proud of Maria’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing her thrive in this new role.”
Seretis is a seasoned banking professional with over 17 years of commercial credit experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Montclair State University.
