RWJBarnabas Health names new chief data and analytics officer

RWJBarnabas Health appointed Roshan Hussain as its new chief data and analytics officer. In this role, Hussain will serve as senior executive for all enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives in tandem with the broader digital and information technology strategic vision.

“As a seasoned health care analytics and data executive, Mr. Hussain will provide strategic utilization of data-driven insights that support the exploitation of tactical business opportunities and improved clinical outcomes,” Robert Adamson, executive vice president and chief information officer of RWJBarnabas Health said.

With more than 20 years of experience driving data-driven transformation in large health organizations, Hussain most recently served as chief data officer at the University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC), where he was recognized by Becker’s as one of the “40 CDOs Making a Difference in Healthcare” for his outstanding contributions to the industry.

Among Hussain’s key accomplishments are the establishment of a Performance Analytics Center of Excellence, the implementation of a robust Enterprise Data Governance Model, the modernization of the organization’s data warehouse and the adoption of an AI governance program to enhance data stewardship and integrity.
